26 thrus
Hello again, well a couple days ago was the MCA tests so i had some time to read my book. Chapter three mostly talked about Baba, Amirs father. It also gave some more background information that really isn't that important. Anyway, i can already tell that there is going to be a conflict between Amir and his father Baba. Amir was talking about how he looks up to his father and how his father is well known around the city and so forth. Amir is always trying to find time alone with his father because he is always so busy. He feels that he always needs to show off or look good for his father, because his father always finds a way to make him feel bad. In the very ending of chapter three Amir overhears his father talking to his friend. Baba is saying that Amir isn't a "normal" young boy and that he is not like him at all. I can tell that their relationship is very iffy! thats all for now...

MONDAY!
I haven't read any more of my book... because i was reading In the Time of the Butterflies. In the Time of the Butterflies is a descent book. this is the worst post ever... OK I'm adding to this horrible post. Mrs. West; don't get me wrong I like this idea of posting, this whole Internet thing is great. The one thing I don't like about it is that you need to have two post done every week. I mean that seems simple and it totally would be if all I had to do was talk like this for ten minutes, but I'm suppose to talk about my book and I don't have time to read this book right now. Don't get me wrong I have always read my book, but I read my book on my own time. I don't have time to read this book while I'm suppose to read another book while I'm suppose to do my other homework and sports and blah blah blah... This is a good assignment but I think it should be slightly modified to work with a students schedule because I mean hey it is fourth quarter book assignment, I'm suppose to have the whole quarter to read my book!

Wednesday ch 1+2
Well today is Wednesday and I read in class for a bit. I learned that the book is about a boy named Amir. His best friend, who is also his servant, is named Hassan. Amir's fathers name is Baba and Hassans fathers name is Ali. Both of their mother are not around; Amirs died during childbirth and Hassans left a week after he was born. There was also some political information in the first two chapters, although i didn't understand most of it. I think it was basically talking about why Ali is made fun of a lot, its because he is of a certain heritage. I also found out that the main conflict is going to happen during the winter of 1975. See the book is written like it is all a memory from the past. The book starts when he receives a phone call from Hassan who is asking him to come visit (Amir is living in the US at this time.) Then Amir has his flashback, which is what I explained above, it was all basic background information. Well that pretty much sums up what I've read so far so till i read more!
